| Methodology: | HIPA is measured by enzyme immunoassay (EIA) using platelet factor 4 complexed polyvinyl sulfonate (PVS) that is coated to the wells of a microtiter plate. The PVS acts like heparin, exposing antigenic sites for HIPA binding. |
